North Korea Taunting Us, Fires Banned Missiles Towards U.S. Bases
Vice — North Korea launched four forbidden missiles toward U.S. military bases in Japan on Monday, putting the region on edge. The missiles flew about 620 miles (1,000 km) before landing in the sea.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un warned via the state news agency that if the countries retaliated, “We will demolish the origin of the invasion and provocation with a nuclear tipped missile.”
On Tuesday, the U.S. military confirmed it has begun assembling an anti-missile defense system in South Korea.
I want to remind everyone that the moment North Korea started assassinating people in foreign airports I said we now have to take them seriously. I went on the Rundown and said, “Nope, don’t like it, no longer is it just a don’t go to North Korea and you’ll be fine situation” and I was right.
Basically me and Barry knew it nbd.
The Hill – Former President Barack Obama warned President Trump as he left office that North Korea would be “the most urgent problem” he would face, the New York Times reported Saturday.
The report details the Obama administration’s efforts to lead a cyber war against North Korea’s missile program, with a number of the country’s military rockets later exploding or veering off course into the sea.
North Korea is great when they’re just imploding upon themselves. Very funny. Executing each other in wildly excessive manners? Whipping people for not crying when their leaders die? Hilarious. Laugh every time in a “point and laugh at the helpless creatures in the zoo” type way.
But as soon as they assassinated Kim’s half-brother in a foreign airport with an internationally frowned upon nerve agent because he ran an annoying Facebook page is the moment I took them seriously.
Here they are launching missiles at U.S. bases in Japan (that of course ended up falling into the sea).
China’s taking them seriously enough that they want to halt their nuclear and missile programs.
The gist is this: China wants to broker some sort of agreement where North Korea terminates their nuclear and missile programs in exchange for America and South Korea halting major military exercises (we’ve been flexing our muscles by conducting massive co-exercises with South Korea on the Korean peninsula).
Might we have to tone down the laughing at North Korea? Sad times we live in. Dark days.
